Metropolitan Opera National Council Website
The Metropolitan Opera National Council conducts annual auditions to discover new young talent for the Met.
Fifteen regions across the U.S. and Canada conduct the auditions, with finalists advancing to the National Grand Finals Concert in New York. The Northwest Region of the MONC had an outdated website that need to be brought up to current standards and chose Cohen Design & Marketing for the project.
Social Media Integration
The group uses Facebook frequently to post photos and news updates, so their Facebook feed was integrated into the new site. It dynamically updates itself and provides content sharing links for site visitors.
News/Blog Features and Events Calendar
The revamped site provides a clean news presentation, with blog posts being filterable by category and date. The new site also contains an Events Calendar that displays significant events in an intuitive calendar interface. All news & calendar elements are easily maintained via a simple CMS system.
The most significant component of the new MONC NW website is the Applications section, which allows potential auditioners the ability to apply via the website, including uploading several mandatory documents as part of the application process. The new application form harvests applicant data, which is viewable via the site’s admin interface, and exportable as a .csv file.
